General Information
Micro Energy 2017 is held in the town of Gubbio, in central Italy.
Gubbio is world famous for his history and culture. Please find here more information on the conference venue: Gubbio.
The conference is scheduled to start on July 3rd with a welcome cocktail and end on July 7th with a special event and a dinner banquet.
Scientific talks will run on mornings and afternoons from July 4th to July 7th. On July 6th it is foreseen a touristic guided excursion through the town of Gubbio for all the conference participants.

The conference site is located at the "Centro servizi Santo Spirito", at the very heart of Gubbio.

Exhibition Stand During the Micro Energy Conference there will be a limited number of exhibition stands available to companies or research centres for showcasing their products and services. Please see more here: stands.

The town of Gubbio offers many lodging solutions. Conference participants are encouraged to book their stay through the booking service offered by the local tourist office that offers a list of discounted accommodations specifically reserved for this conference.

Please book your stay as soon as possible because Gubbio is a popular touristic destination in July.

How to reach Gubbio
By Air
The closest airport to Gubbio is the San Francesco airport located at 30 min drive. On July 3rd and July 8th there will be a shuttle bus service from this airport to the conference site. Please check the mark on the registration for if you plan to use this service.
Central Italy's closest major airports are in Rome, Pisa, and Florence. These can be easily reached by train, bus or car.
The major international gateway is Rome's Aeroporto Leonardo da Vinci, known as Fiumicino (FCO) (30 km/19 mi southwest of Rome).
Pisa's Aeroporto Galileo Galilei (PSA) (12 km/7 mi south of Pisa and 80 km (50 mi) west of Florence) has flights from London, Amsterdam, Brussels, and Paris)
Florence's Aeroporto A. Vespucci, known as Peretola (FLR) (10 km/6 mi northwest of Florence), has connections to Brussels, Paris, London, Rome, and Milan.

By car
- From North: A14 HIGHWAY - Get off at FANO and follow the directions to reach GUBBIO. A1 HIGHWAY - Get of at AREZZO and follow the directions to reach GUBBIO.
- From South: A1 HIGHWAY - Get off at ORTE and follow the directions to reach PERUGIA till the exit sign of GUBBIO. A14 HIGHWAY - Get off at ANCONA NORTH and follow the directions to reah JESI, FABRIANO, GUBBIO.

By train
Arrival at FOSSATO di VICO Railways Station. Outside the station there is public bus connexion to Gubbio (18Km. to reach GUBBIO, tickets on board). Information on train schedule are available here: Trenitalia.
